Notes

The notes allow you to quickly record a text (comments, ideas, TODOs) for an email within Outlook. Each time the email is accessed (opened in reading pane or in a new window) the note will be displayed automatically.

Enable email notes option turns everything related notes on or off.

View

To see at a glance which emails have notes when looking at the list of emails in a folder, a new column (named Notes) can be added to the folder view. Use Show notes text column on current view option when you want to see the beginning of the note content in Notes column (or the whole note depending on the note length and available space for Notes column). With Show notes checkbox column on current view options selected the Notes column will show only a check-mark next to the emails with a note. Only one of these options can be selected at one time.

Edit

Clicking Notes button from Bells & Whistles toolbar or selecting an email with a note brings up automatically the note editor which can be integrated in the reading pane or the email windows (with Pane integrated in Outlook's interface option selected) or displayed in a floating window over Outlook's interface (with Popup window option selected).

In note editor clicking on Add date will add a new line beginning with the current date and time, Remove note deletes the note from the email, Save note saves the note. The changes to a note are saved automatically when another email is selected or the email window is closed.

Print

To include the notes when printing an email enable Include notes in printed messages option. The note will be printed under the email header with the label BWMessageNoteText. Only the notes set or changed after this option was enabled will be printed automatically.
