Backup/Restore options

A backup file will contain all Bells & Whistles settings made in options window and the email templates. The notes added to emails will not be included in the backup. Since each note is saved in the email, an email backup will include the notes as well.

To create a backup in Export section click Browse button, pick the folder where you want to create the backup file, type a file name (if the extension, .bwo7, is omitted it will be added automatically) and click Save button. The selected file path will show up in the textbox labeled Options file. Click Export button to export the settings.

In Import section click Browse button and select a backup file. The files accepted are backups created in version 7 (with extension .bwo7) or backups from older versions (extension .bwo6 for version 6 or .bwo5 for version 5). You can choose to import all the options, select one or more option groups (Mail profiles, Notes, Alerts, Outlook tweaks) or the Email templates. If you want to completely replace the existing email templates select Overwrite existing email templates option, otherwise use Keep existing email templates. Bells & Whistles will automatically rename a template if the name is already used by an existing template in the same category (for example, report report (1)).

The window is closed automatically after exporting or importing the settings.
