Activate a license
Before a license is activated Bells & Whistles will display a popup window each time Outlook starts:
Online license activation
To activate a license click ACTIVATE LICENSE button from Bells & Whistles startup window. You'll be asked to input the license code received after purchasing a license:
Note
To avoid errors don't type the license code, use copy/paste to transfer it from the email received after the order was processed.
Click ACTIVATE button to activate the license. To complete the license activation Bells & Whistles needs an active Internet connection to make a request to our license server. If the connection is blocked by a firewall or proxy the license can be activated offline using a web browser.
Offline license activation
To begin offline license activation click offline activation link after clicking ACTIVATE LICENSE button from Bells & Whistles startup window. In offline activation mode you'll be presented with these steps:
At step 1 after clicking Get activation request button the window will show these options:
Input the license code and click Save activation request button. By default the license activation request is saved in C:\Users\<user>\Documents\BWSTD-7.0.request
(where <user>
is the Windows user name). The location where the license activation request is saved can be changed by manually entering a file path or by using Browse button to pick a new location. After the license activation request is saved the window content will go back to showing the steps for offline activation.
At step 2 click the link to open it in the default web browser. In the page loaded in web browser click Choose File button and select the file saved at step 1. After clicking Get activation response button a file named BWSTD-7.0.response
will be saved in the default downloads folder of your web browser.
At step 3 click Finalize activation button:
Click Browse button and pick the file downloaded at step 2. Click Activate button to complete the offline license activation.
Note
Don't reuse the files created during offline activation when reactivating the license or when activating the license on another computer.
